Who is ReGear

Hi, I’m Laine Connelly the founder of ReGear, based in Auckland, New Zealand. Like many Kiwis, I’ve always loved the outdoors — hiking, camping, biking, and soaking in the natural beauty around us. After seeing how much outdoor gear gets left behind or wasted by travelers and backpackers, I had an idea: what if we could give that gear a second life, and help the next person gear up affordably?

That’s why I started ReGear — a small, locally-run initiative with a big goal: to make outdoor adventures more affordable, sustainable, and accessible for everyone.

I’m building this business from the ground up — doing the sourcing, washing, repairs, listing, and packing myself. If you’re visiting New Zealand, getting into outdoor sports, or just love a good deal with a purpose, your support means the world to me.
