About ReGear

How ReGear works

ReGear is an Auckland-based second-hand outdoor gear retailer. ReGear holds the stock, photographs the actual item, describes its condition and manages each order from sale through to delivery.

01

Buying from ReGear

ReGear holds the stock and sells each item directly through the store. Check the actual-item photos, size information and condition notes, then complete payment through Shopify checkout. One-off stock is not reserved until checkout is complete.

02

Auckland collection

Auckland collection is available by arrangement where shown at checkout. Collection details are provided privately after an order is placed. ReGear does not publish a private collection address on the storefront.

03

Shipping around New Zealand

ReGear ships around New Zealand. The available options are calculated from the packed item's weight, size and destination. Rural addresses and long or bulky gear may cost more. The checkout rate shown before payment is the final rate for the order.

04

Returns for fit

If an item does not fit, contact ReGear within 7 days. It may be returned after a reasonable try-on when it remains unwashed, unaltered and undamaged, with everything supplied. The customer pays return shipping for a fit return.

Delivery information

Shipping prices and estimates

Shipping prices vary by parcel weight, packed size and delivery region. The exact price is shown at checkout before payment, so the information here does not replace the checkout quote.

Standard parcels

Smaller and lighter items use lower weight-based rates. Prices vary between Auckland, other North Island regions and the South Island.

Urban deliveries usually arrive within 3–5 working days after dispatch. Tracking details are supplied when available.

Rural and bulky gear

Rural addresses, skis, snowboards, large packs and other long or bulky items use higher delivery bands so they can be packed and sent safely.

Rural and oversized deliveries may take longer. If checkout cannot offer a suitable rate, contact ReGear before ordering.

How gear is checked, prepared and sold

  1. 1Initial reviewReGear reviews the item details and photos to decide whether the gear may suit a direct offer or consignment.
  2. 2Physical checkAccepted gear is checked for identifying labels, size, included parts and visible wear or faults. Safety-sensitive items are not described as certified or safe without appropriate evidence.
  3. 3Cleaning where appropriateGear is cleaned where suitable for the item and material. Cleaning is not presented as professional servicing or safety testing.
  4. 4Actual-item photosThe photographs show the second-hand item being sold, including useful labels, details and visible faults.
  5. 5Listing and checkoutReGear writes the listing, records the supported condition information, holds the stock and manages the customer order.
  6. 6Packing, shipping or collectionOrders are packed for the item and sent using the option selected at checkout, or collected in Auckland by arrangement.

Selling through ReGear

Direct offers and consignment

Send clear photos and accurate details through the Sell Your Gear page. If the item may suit ReGear, the next step is confirmed before you send or drop off the gear.

For a direct purchase, the final offer and acceptance are confirmed after the item has been checked. For consignment, the agreed share and other terms are confirmed before the item is listed. Sale timing cannot be guaranteed because demand varies by item, size, condition and season.

If gear needs to be sent to ReGear, shipping arrangements and responsibility for the cost are confirmed case by case before it is sent. Do not send an item until ReGear has agreed to receive it.
