How Regear Works

ReGear is an Auckland-based second-hand outdoor gear retailer. ReGear holds the stock, photographs the actual item, describes its condition and manages each order directly.

Buying from ReGear

Check the actual-item photos, size information and condition notes, then complete payment through Shopify checkout. Most stock is one-off and is not reserved until checkout is complete.

Auckland collection

Auckland collection is available by arrangement where shown at checkout. Collection details are provided privately after an order is placed.

Shipping around New Zealand

Available delivery options are based on parcel weight and destination. The checkout total is the final available rate for an order. Delivery estimates are not guarantees.

North Island

  • Up to 4.99 kg: $9.99 NZD
  • 5 kg and over: $35.00 NZD
  • Estimated delivery: 3–5 business days

South Island

  • Up to 4.99 kg: $19.99 NZD
  • 5 kg and over: $55.00 NZD
  • Estimated delivery: 3–5 business days

Returns for fit

If an item does not fit, contact ReGear within 7 days of receiving it. A fit return may be accepted when the item has only been tried on, remains unwashed, unaltered and undamaged, and is returned with everything supplied. The customer is responsible for return shipping for a fit return. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act still apply.

How gear is checked, prepared and sold

  1. Initial review: ReGear reviews the item details and photos to decide whether the gear may suit a direct offer or consignment.
  2. Physical check: Accepted gear is checked for identifying labels, size, included parts and visible wear or faults. Safety-sensitive items are not described as certified or safe without appropriate evidence.
  3. Cleaning where appropriate: Gear is cleaned where suitable for the item and material. Cleaning is not professional servicing or safety testing.
  4. Actual-item photos: Photographs show the second-hand item being sold, including useful labels, details and visible faults.
  5. Listing and checkout: ReGear writes the listing, records supported condition information, holds the stock and manages the customer order.
  6. Packing, shipping or collection: Orders are packed for the item and sent using the option selected at checkout, or collected in Auckland by arrangement.

Selling through ReGear

Send clear photos and accurate details through the Sell Your Gear page. If the item may suit ReGear, the next step is confirmed before you send or drop off the gear.

For a direct purchase, the final offer and acceptance are confirmed after the item has been checked. For consignment, the agreed share and other terms are confirmed before the item is listed. Sale timing cannot be guaranteed because demand varies by item, size, condition and season.

If gear needs to be sent to ReGear, shipping arrangements and responsibility for the cost are confirmed case by case before it is sent. Do not send an item until ReGear has agreed to receive it.
